PSG 2-1 Nice: The Eagles succumb to Les Parisiens at the Parc des Princes

PSG enjoyed a home victory against Nice at the Parc des Princes on Saturday. PSG were looking to pick up points after winning their previous two matches against Lyon away and Brest at home, by 1-0 and 1-0 respectively while Nice were beaten 1-0 in their previous match against Angers SCO. PSG and Nice currently occupy 1st and 13th spots in the league, with 25 points and 8 points respectively after 9 matches.

PSG started the match strongly, when Lionel Messi gave them the lead, 29 minutes in. However, their lead was short-lived, as Gaetan Laborde equalised for The Eagles just before half-time, finishing the first half 1-1.

Les Parisiens rallied after this and were rewarded, when Kylian Mbappe gave them the lead in the 83rd minute, seing the match finish 2-1.

Substitutions for PSG included Kylian Mbappe, Nuno Mendes, Renato Sanches, Pablo Sarabia and Danilo Pereira for Hugo Ekitike, Juan Bernat, Fabian Ruiz, Lionel Messi and Renato Sanches, respectively. Nice brought on Kephren Thuram-Ulien, Nicolas Pepe, Jordan Lotomba, Alexis Beka Beka and Andy Delort, to replace Aaron Ramsey, Ross Barkley, Youcef Atal, Mario Lemina and Gaetan Laborde.

There were bookings for Pablo Sarabia from PSG. For Nice, Dante saw yellow.

PSG will next play Reims away, with Nice facing Troyes at home.
