PSG 1-1 Monaco: PSG contained at the Parc des Princes

PSG were held to 1-1 draw by Monaco down on Sunday at the Parc des Princes. PSG were looking to pick up points after winning their previous two games in the league. The most recent was against the Lille away (7-1), the other to Montpellier at home (5-2) while Monaco lost 4-1 in the last match they played against RC Lens. As things stand, PSG and Monaco currently occupy 1st and 12th spots in the league, with 10 points and 5 points respectively after 4 matches.

Monaco started strong and were rewarded for their efforts, when Kevin Volland gave The Monégasques the lead at the 20 minute mark, to take a 1-0 lead into half time.

Les Parisiens took the lead in the second half, when Neymar found the net, at 70 minutes. The final result, PSG 1, Monaco 1.

Substitutions for PSG included Danilo Pereira, Pablo Sarabia and Nordi Mukiele for Renato Sanches, Lionel Messi and Marquinhos, repectively. Monaco brought on Maghnes Akliouche, Breel Embolo, Takumi Minamino and Jean Lucas for Kevin Volland, Aleksandr Golovin, Maghnes Akliouche and Mohamed Camara.

There were bookings for Neymar, Presnel Kimpembe, Marco Verratti and Achraf Hakimi from PSG, and Maghnes Akliouche, Mohamed Camara, Benoit Badiashile and Caio Henrique, for Monaco.

PSG will next play Tolouse FC away, with Monaco facing Troyes at home.
