Nice 1-1 Strasbourg: The Eagles held at home by The Blue and White

Nice were held to 1-1 draw by RCSA down on Sunday at Allianz Rivera. Nice arrived with the intention of increasing their league score after a 1-1 draw against Tolouse FC. RCSA lost 2-1 in the last match they played against AS Mónaco. As the table looks today, Nice and RCSA currently occupy 11th and 14th spots in the table, with 2 points and 1 point respectively after 2 matches.

Nice started the match well, with a goal from Andy Delort at the 35 minute mark. They then managed to see out the first half 1-0.

RCSA staged a comeback in the second half, when Kevin Gameiro found the net, 55 minutes in. The match ended wih a 1-1 draw.

Substitutions for Nice included Billal Brahimi, Aaron Ramsey, Pablo Rosario, Youcef Atal and Flavius Daniliuc for Calvin Stengs, Amine Gouiri, Mario Lemina, Rares Ilie and Jordan Lotomba, repectively. RCSA replaced Thomas Delaine, Alexander Djiku, Kevin Gameiro, Jean-Eudes Aholou and Jeanricner Bellegarde for Sanjin Prcic, Lucas Perrin, Ludovic Ajorque, Diarra Mouhamadou and Marvin Senaya.

There were bookings for Pablo Rosario from Nice. For RCSA, Gerzino Nyamsi, Maxime Le Marchand, Thomas Delaine and Adrien Thomasson saw yellow.

Nice will next travel to Clermont Foot, while RCSA will face Reims at home.
