Olympique de Marseille cruise past Nice 3-0 on Sunday at Allianz Rivera. Nice were hoping to get something from this game after losing their last match 1-0 to Clermont Foot. Marseille were able to continue their winning streak after a 2-1 win against Nantes in their last match. After today’s result, Nice are in 18th place, with 2 points from 4 matches, while Marseille sit in 1st, with 10 points from 4.

It was an impressive opening from Marseille, when Alexis Sanchez opened the rout at the 10 minute mark. The momentum was now with The Phocaeans, who then scored again through a goal from Nuno Tavares at the 37 minute mark to establish a 2-0. However they weren’t finished yet and Alexis Sanchez made it 3-0 just before halftime. The score at half time was 3-0. Both teams unable to deliver anything further, the score remained at 3-0 at full time.

Substitutions for Nice included Aaron Ramsey, Billal Brahimi, Youcef Atal, Kephren Thuram-Ulien and Calvin Stengs for Alexis Claude-Maurice, Rares Ilie, Melvin Bard, Alexis Beka Beka and Andy Delort, repectively. Marseille brought on Eric Bailly, Luis Suarez, Cedric Bakambu, Pape Alassane Gueye and Issa Kabore, to replace Sead Kolasinac, Alexis Sanchez, Dimitri Payet, Nuno Tavares and Jonathan Clauss.
