Nice 0-1 Monaco: Embolo goals gives The Monégasques valuable away win

AS Mónaco strolled past Nice with a 1-0 win on Sunday at Allianz Rivera. Nice had been hopeful of continuing their good run after winning last match. Monaco had lost their previous match against Troyes. Nice are now in 16th place on the table and have 5 points while Monaco sit in 10th with 8 points after 6 matches.

After an uneventful first half, The Monégasques continued to apply pressure in the second period and were rewarded, when Breel Embolo gave them the lead, 69 minutes in. The match ended 1-0 to Monaco.

Substitutions for Nice included Jordan Lotomba, Pablo Rosario, Alexis Beka Beka, Sofiane Diop and Joe Bryan for Youcef Atal, Kephren Thuram-Ulien, Aaron Ramsey, Nicolas Pepe and Melvin Bard, respectively. Monaco brought on Vanderson and Ismail Jakobs for Ruben Aguilar and Aleksandr Golovin.

There were bookings for Pablo Rosario and Jordan Lotomba from Nice, and Mohamed Camara, for Monaco.

Nice will next travel to AC Ajaccio, while Monaco will face Lyon at home.
