Nantes 0-3 PSG: Mbappe brace helps PSG waltz past The Yellow House
Paris Saint-Germain banked all three points against the Nantes in a 3-0 victory on Saturday, at Stade de La Beaujoire. Nantes were aiming to improve their league standing after a 1-1 draw against RC Strasburg. PSG were able to continue their winning streak after a 3-0 win against Tolouse FC in their last match. Nantes and PSG currently occupy 10th and 1st spots in the league, with 6 points and 16 points respectively after 6 matches.
Les Parisiens started strongly in the first half, when Kylian Mbappe opened the rout, at 18 minutes to see out the first half 1-0.
PSG started the second half with an intensified spirit, when Kylian Mbappe found the net once more, 54 minutes in. They then scored again, pulling level thanks to a goal from Nuno Mendes in the 68th minute to make it 3-0.
Substitutions for Nantes included Sebastien Corchia, Ignatius Kpene Ganago, Lohann Doucet, Marcus Coco and Mohamed Achi Bouakline for Jean-Charles Castelletto, Evann Guessand, Samuel Moutoussamy, Mostafa Mohamed and Ludovic Blas, respectively. PSG replaced Vitinha, Juan Bernat, Marco Verratti, Kylian Mbappe and Pablo Sarabia for Renato Sanches, Nuno Mendes, Sergio Ramos, Neymar and Hugo Ekitike.
The referee booked Nicolas Pallois from Nantes and Fabio went off with a red card, while PSG’s Juan Bernat, Marco Verratti, Kylian Mbappe and Sergio Ramos also received a yellow.
Nantes will next travel to FC Lorient, while PSG will face Brest at home.
