Nantes 1 – Angers 1: The Yellow House unable to break dead-lock with Le SCO

Nantes were held to 1-1 draw by Angers down on Sunday at the Stade de la Beaujoire. With both teams drawing in their previous fixtures, they were keen to pick up points. Nantes arrived with the intention of increasing their league score after a 1-1 draw against Brest whilst Angers were unable to beat Lille in a 1-1 draw. As the table looks today, Nantes and Angers currently occupy 9th and 14th spots in the table, with 47 points and 34 points respectively after 32 matches.

Angers started the first half well, with Sofiane Boufal giving Le SCO the lead, 18 minutes in, seeing out the first half 0-1.

Nantes started the second half with an intensified spirit, thanks to Kalifa Coulibaly finding the net in the 53rd minute. The game ended wih a 1-1 draw.

For Nantes, Wylan Cyprien, Sebastien Corchia, Jean-Kevin Augustin, Osman Bukari and Willem Geubbels, came on for Pedro Chirivella, Fabio, Kalifa Coulibaly, Moses Simon and Jean-Charles Castelletto. Angers brought on Mohamed-Ali Cho, Thomas Mangani, Vincent Manceau and Casimir Ninga, to replace Angelo Fulgini, Batista Mendy, Pierrick Capelle and Sofiane Boufal.

There were bookings for Alban Lafont, Ludovic Blas, Andrei and Nicolas Pallois from Nantes, and Romain Thomas, for Angers.

Nantes will play their next fixture away against Olympique de Marseille, while Angers will face Paris Saint-Germain at home.
