Lyon 4 – Troyes 1: The Kids prevail in a 4 goal thriller at home
Lyon beat Troyes with a thumping 4-1 victory on Friday at the Parc Olympique Lyonnais. Lyon were looking to pick up points, following a 2-1 victory against AC Ajaccio. Troyes were beaten 3-0 in the previous match against Tolouse FC. As things stand, Lyon are in 2nd place in the table and have 6 points while Troyes sit in 20th with 0 points after 3 matches.
The Kids didn’t take long to get on the score-sheet, with an early goal from Alexandre Lacazette in the 3rd minute. However, their lead was short-lived, as an equalizer from Florian Tardieu, 39 minutes in, brought Troyes level. However, Lyon secured the points emphatically, with a goal from Nicolas Tagliafico just before halftime to see out the first half 2-1.
Lyon started strong in the second half and were able to dominate, with an early goal from Tete in the 49th minute. They then scored again, increasing their advantage thanks to a second effort from Tete, 75 minutes in to make it 4-1.
Substitutions for Lyon included Jeff Reine-Adelaide, Henrique Silva, Maxence Caqueret, Rayan Cherki and Romain Faivre for Corentin Tolisso, Johann Lepenant, Malo Gusto, Lucas Paqueta and Tete, repectively. Troyes replaced Xavier Chavalerin, Tristan Dingome, Kyliane Dong and Renaud Ripart with Mama Balde, Yasser Larouci, Ike Ugbo and Thierno Balde.
