Metz 1 – Cleermont 1: The Maroons denied all 3 points at the Stade Saint Symphorien

Metz were held to 1-1 draw by Cleermont down on Sunday at the Stade Saint Symphorien. Both sides arrived at the match from previous defeats in the league. Metz arrived at the game looking pick up points after losing their last game 3-1 to Bordeaux. Cleermont, on the other hand, lost 6-1 in the last match they played against Paris Saint-Germain. As things stand, Metz are in 20th place, with 24 points from 32 matches, while Cleermont sit in 18th, with 29 points from 32.

The Maroons dominated the first half, with Nicolas De Preville giving Metz the lead, 24 minutes in. However, their lead was short lived, as Jodel Dossou equalised for Cleermont at the 37 minute mark. The score at half time was 1-1. The second half ended with little further action at either end and goalless.

For Metz, Pape Ndiaga Yade, Louis Mafouta and Didier Lamkel Ze, came on for Kevin N`Doram, Nicolas De Preville and Boubacar Traore. Cleermont brought on Ouparine Djoco, Jim Allevinah, Mohamed Bayo, Lucas Da Cunha and Josue Albert, to replace Arthur Desmas, Saif-Eddine Khaoui, Grejohn Kyei, Jodel Dossou and Arial Mendy.

The referee booked three players. Dylan Bronn from Metz, who saw yellow cards and Ibrahima Niane, sent off with a red, as well as for Cleermont Florent Ogier also seeing yellows.

Cleermont and Metz will next play away to Troyes and FC Lorient respectively.
