It’s the second meeting of these two sides this Season and this time the venue is the Stade Yves Allainmat. Troyes will be keen to take points back home with them.

Lorient, currently struggling in seventeenth place, will face the challenge of a visiting, fifteenth placed Troyes.

FC Lorient arrive at this fixture, having secured 35 points so far this season

With one draw, which followed a defeat, Lorient’s recent form has not been great. They will be looking to return to winning ways in this next match.

Also, Lorient need to get out of the losing habit, with nine recorded in the last 17 matches. They currently stand seventeenth in the League, with 35 points for a total of 8 wins, 18 losses and 11 draws having won eight fixtures, drawn 11 meetings, and lost 18 matches.

When Lorient host Troyes, they will do so on the back of six wins, five draws, and seven losses on their own ground.

Victory for FC Lorient would take their points tally to 38 so far this season.

Lorient are likely to be missing two of their key players when they start Saturday’s game, due to injury and illness.

This season’s Ligue 1 campaign, has so far seen Troyes achieve 37 points

This match gives Bruno Irles’s Troyes 90 minutes to get their season back on track. Their last outing resulted in a 1-3 loss to RC Lens, with a 2-2 draw against Paris Saint-Germain before that. Only a positive result will be good enough.

Also, Bruno Irles knows that a run of four losses in seven meetings for his Troyes side, is going to be a tough run of form to change. However that is exactly what he must try to deliver. With 37 points, they currently sit fifteenth in the League. The breakdown for the team’s record is 9 wins, 18 losses and 10 draws having won nine meetings, drawn 10 matches, and lost 18 games.

Troyes now travel, knowing that their current away form is woeful. So far this season they have won four games, drawn three matches, and lost 11 meetings matches on the road.

A win in this fixture, would take Troyes’s points from 37 to 40, so far this season.

It is likely that three key players will miss Saturday’s fixture, which is something of a concern for Bruno Irles and his Troyes team.
