Lorient 1 – Metz 0: The Merlucciidaes seal precious win at the Stade Yves Allainmat

FC Lorient eased past FC Metz in a 1-0 victory on Wednesday at the Stade Yves Allainmat. Lorient were looking forward to meeting again after losing their last game 2-1 to Nice while Metz are struggling for form following a draw in their last match. As the table looks today, Lorient are in 15th place on the table and has 34 points while Metz sit in 20th with 24 points after 33 matches.

Following a goalless first half, Lorient piled on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, thanks to Dango Ouattara giving The Merlucciidaes the lead just before the final whistle. The game ended 1-0.

For Lorient, Quentin Boisgard, Fabien Lemoine, Sambou Soumano and Dango Ouattara, came on for Terem Moffi, Bonke Innocent, Enzo Le Fee and Armand Lauriente. Metz brought on Amadou Mbengue, Pape Matar Sarr, Opa Nguette, Louis Mafouta and Lenny Joseph, to replace Ibrahim Amadou, Kevin N`Doram, Didier Lamkel Ze, Nicolas De Preville and Opa Nguette.

There were bookings for Julien Laporte and Houboulang Mendes from Lorient. For Metz, Ibrahim Amadou and Opa Nguette saw yellow.

Lorient will play their next fixture away against Rennes, while Metz will face Brest at home.
