Clermont 2-0 Tolouse: Visitors to Stade Gabriel Montpied leave with nothing

Clermont Foot’s 2-0 win over Tolouse FC on Sunday, was hard fought at Stade Gabriel Montpied. Both teams arrived at the match with previous defeats in the league. Cleermont arrived at the match looking to pick up more points after losing their last match 1-0 to Olympique de Marseille. Tolouse were beaten 3-0 in their previous match against Paris Saint-Germain. Cleermont are now in 8th place, with 9 points from 6 matches, while Tolouse sit in 16th, with 5 points from 6.

Cleermont started strongly in the first half, when Maxime Gonalons found the net just before half-time

Cleermont continued to pile on the pressure in the second period and were rewarded, when Muhammed-Cham Saracevic found the net just before the full time, seing the match finish 2-0.

Substitutions for Cleermont included Komnen Andric, Muhammed-Cham Saracevic, Arial Mendy, Yohann Magnin and Elbasan Rashani for Grejohn Kyei, Jim Allevinah, Jeremie Bela, Maxime Gonalons and Jodel Dossou, respectively. Tolouse brought on Ado Onaiwu, Fares Chaibi, Veljko Birmancevic and Oliver Zanden, to replace Rafael Ratao, Brecht Dejaegere, Thijs Dallinga and Issiaga Sylla.

There were bookings for Grejohn Kyei, Mateusz Wieteska, Johan Gastien and Alidu Seidu from Cleermont, and Issiaga Sylla, for Tolouse.

Cleermont will play away against RC Strasburg, while Tolouse will face Reims at home.
