Cleermont 0 – Lorient 2: The Merlucciidaes secure 3 points at Stade Gabriel Montpied

Cleermont on home loss to FC Lorient at Stade Gabriel Montpied on Sunday. With each team arriving on the back of a league defeat, they were both keen to pick up points. Cleermont were looking to get back their winning ways after losing their last game 4-0 to Lille. Lorient had lost their previous match against Lyon. As the table looks today, Cleermont are in 16th place, with 28 points from 28 matches, while Lorient sit in 17th, with 27 points from 28.

After an un-eventful first half, Lorient continued to apply pressure in the second and were rewarded, with Ibrahima Kone giving Lorient the lead, at 72 minutes. The Merlucciidaes then scored once more and increased their advantage thanks to a goal from Leo Petrot in the 76th minute with a final score of 2-0.

For Cleermont, Mohamed Bayo, Jodel Dossou, Jim Allevinah and Saif-Eddine Khaoui, came on for Grejohn Kyei, Elbasan Rashani, Lucas Da Cunha and Jason Berthomier. Lorient brought on Stephane Diarra, Ibrahima Kone, Dango Ouattara and Igor Silva, to replace Quentin Boisgard, Terem Moffi, Armand Lauriente and Enzo Le Fee.
