On Sunday, Brest and RCSA played out a 1-1 draw at the Stade Francis-Le Blé. Brest arrived at the match looking to pick up more points after losing their last match 3-1 to Rennes while RCSA had managed to pick up a point in their matchup with Nantes. Brest are now in 17th place on the table and have 5 points while RCSA sit in 18th with 4 points after 6 matches.

Brest dominated the first half, when Pierre Lees-Melou found the net early in the first half. However, their celebrations were kept brief, as Ludovic Ajorque equalised for RCSA in the 28th minute, which brought Julien Stephan’s squad level at 1-1 at the half time break Both teams struggled to produce anything meaningful in the second half, leaving the final score at 1-1.

Substitutions for Brest included Brendan Chardonnet, Irvin Cardona, Youcef Belaili and Jere Uronen for Achraf Dari, Haris Belkebla, Mathias Pereira Lage and Lilian Brassier, respectively. RCSA brought on Ismael Doukouire, Adrien Thomasson and Kevin Gameiro, to replace Colin Dagba, Jean-Eudes Aholou and Ludovic Ajorque.

The referee booked Lilian Brassier, Haris Belkebla and Youcef Belaili from Brest. RCSA had the worst of it though, with Ronael Pierre-Gabriel seeing yellow, and Sanjin Prcic then sent off with a red.

Brest will play their next fixture away against Paris Saint-Germain, while RCSA will face Clermont Foot at home.
