Brest 2 – Lyon 1: Victory for The Pirates at the Stade Francis-Le Blé
Lyon on away loss to Brest at the Stade Francis-Le Blé on Wednesday. Brest arrived at the game looking pick up points, following a previous defeat to Saint-Étienne. Lyon were looking to extend their winning run after a 6-1 victory against Bordeaux. As the table looks today, Brest are in 12th place on the table and has 42 points while Lyon sit in 8th with 49 points after 33 matches.
Brest started the game well, with Steve Mounie giving The Pirates the lead in the 27th minute, to take a 1-0 lead into half time.
The Kids took the initiative in the second half, thanks to a goal from Moussa Dembele at the 72 minute mark. Brest managed to edge ahead with a goal from Irvin Cardona, at 74 minutes. The final result, Brest 2, Lyon 1.
For Brest, Irvin Cardona and Hugo Magnetti, came on for Franck Honorat and Martin Satriano. Lyon replaced Bradley Barcola, Tino Kadewere and Jeff Reine-Adelaide with Houssem Aouar, Tete and Emerson.
