Auxerre 1-0 Ajaccio: Job done for Auxerre at home to L’ours

On Sunday, AC Ajaccio suffered an away defeat to Auxerre at Stade de l’Abbe-Deschamps. Both Auxerre and Ajaccio arrived at the match with previous defeats in the league. Auxerre were looking forward to playing again after losing their last match 2-1 to Reims while Ajaccio lost 3-0 in their against Paris Saint-Germain. Auxerre and Ajaccio currently occupy 15th and 19th spots in the table, with 12 points and 8 points respectively after 13 matches.

Auxerre started the match strongly, with a goal from Hamza Sakhi on the 8 minute mark, ending the first half 1-0. Both teams struggled to produce anything meaningful in the second half, leaving the final score at 1-0.

Substitutions for Auxerre included Gauthier Hein, Gaetan Perrin and Gaetan Charbonnier for Mathias Autret, Nuno Da Costa and Lassine Sinayoko, respectively. Ajaccio brought on Kevin Spadanuda, Fernand Mayembo, Romain Hamouma, Thomas Mangani and Riad Nouri for Bevic Moussiti-Oko, Cyrille Bayala, Mounaim El Idrissy, Mathieu Coutadeur and Youcef Belaili.

The referee booked from Auxerre Jubal and from Ajaccio Clement Vidal. Both teams also had a sending off, with Mbaye Niang for Auxerre and Cedric Avinel for Ajaccio.

Auxerre will next travel to Troyes, while Ajaccio will face RC Strasburg at home.
