Angers 0 – Reims 1: Visitors deliver victory against Le SCO

Angers on Sunday lost to Reims on a home defeat at the Stade Raymond Kopa. Angers were looking to get back their winning ways after losing their last game 2-0 to Rennes. Reims had managed to pick up a single point in their encounter with RC Strasburg. As the table looks today, Angers are in 14th place, with 29 points from 28 matches, while Reims sit in 12th, with 35 points from 28.

Reims found the net first, with a goal from Alexis Flips at the 24 minute mark, to take a 0-1 lead into half time. With both teams struggling to produce anything meaningful in the second half though, the game ended 1-0.

For Angers, Stephane Bahoken, Marin Jakolis, Batista Mendy and Pierrick Capelle, came on for Mohamed-Ali Cho, Mathias Pereira Lage, Nabil Bentaleb and Thomas Mangani. Reims brought on Thomas Foket, Mitchell Van Bergen, Bradley Locko and Nathanael Mbuku, to replace Alexis Flips, Arber Zeneli, Ilan Kebbal and Mitchell Van Bergen.

Angers and Reims played a tough game where the referee sanctioned Angers with yellow cards to Vincent Manceau, Thomas Mangani, Enzo Ebosse, Pierrick Capelle and Romain Thomas and with red card to Vincent Manceau (2 yellow cards), while from Reims Marshall Munetsi and Thomas Foket were booked and red to Anastasios Donis.

Angers next face Brest and Reims are at home to Lyon.
