Angers 0 – PSG 3: Le SCO humbled at home by on form Les Parisiens

Paris Saint-Germain’s 3-0 win over Angers SCO on Wednesday, was hard fought at the Stade Raymond Kopa. Angers arrived with the intention of increasing their league score following a disappointing 1-1 draw with Nantes in their previous game. PSG were coming from consecutive wins against Olympique de Marseille and Clermont Foot. As the table looks today, Angers and PSG currently occupy 14th and 1st spots in the league, with 34 points and 77 points respectively after 33 matches.
PSG started the game well, with Kylian Mbappe opening the rout at the 28 minute mark. However they weren’t finished yet and Sergio Ramos made it 2-0 just before half-time. The first half ended 0-2.
Les Parisiens continued to apply pressure in the second and were rewarded, with Marquinhos finding the net, 77 minutes in. The game ended with a 3-0 victory for PSG.
For Angers, Casimir Ninga, Pierrick Capelle, Batista Mendy, Thomas Mangani and Marin Jakolis, came on for Sofiane Boufal, Angelo Fulgini, Nabil Bentaleb, Azzedine Ounahi and Mohamed-Ali Cho. PSG replaced Nuno Mendes, Edouard Michut, Idrissa Gueye, El Chadaille Bitshiabu and Xavi Simons with Juan Bernat, Eric Ebimbe, Georginio Wijnaldum, Achraf Hakimi and Angel Di Maria.
The referee booked Souleyman Doumbia from Angers. PSG had the worst of it though, with Juan Bernat and Eric Ebimbe seeing yellow, and Edouard Michut then sent off with a red.
