Ajaccio 1 – Lille 3: Les Dogues jubilant after away win against L’ours

Lille enjoyed a mesmerising away victory against Ajaccio at Stade Francois Coty on Friday. Both Ajaccio and Lille came from defeats in their previous league games. Ajaccio were looking to get back their winning ways, following a previous defeat to Rennes. Lille lost 7-1 in the last match they played against Paris Saint-Germain. As it stands, Ajaccio are in 18th place in the table and have 1 point while Lille sit in 4th with 7 points after 4 matches.

Lille started strong and were rewarded for their efforts, when Yusuf Yazici found the net in the 17th minute. Les Dogues then netted once more and increased their lead thanks to a goal from Jonathan Bamba just before halftime, ending the first half 2-0.

Lille continued to pile on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, with a goal from Tiago Djalo in the 67th minute. In the end though, Ajaccio in the 84th minute pull-back thanks to a Cyrille Bayala goal and saw the match end 3-1.

Substitutions for Ajaccio included Riad Nouri, Mohamed Youssouf, Jean Botue, Qazim Laci and Bevic Moussiti-Oko for Kevin Spadanuda, Mickael Alphonse, Mounaim El Idrissy, Vincent Marchetti and Romain Hamouma, repectively. Lille brought on Gabriel Gudmundsson, Jonas Martin, Akim Zedadka and Leny Yoro, to replace Edon Zhegrova, Yusuf Yazici, Ismaily and Tiago Djalo.

There were bookings for Thomas Mangani, Oumar Gonzalez and Cyrille Bayala from Ajaccio. For Lille, Bafode Diakite and Edon Zhegrova saw yellow.

Ajaccio will next travel to Montpellier, while Lille will face Nice at home.
