Struggling Venezia, welcome fancied Bologna this Sunday

Venezia come to this game on the back of a 2-1 away win against Juventus at the Allianz Stadium.

Also, getting out of a relegation battle requires a string of positive results, but Andrea Soncin’s men know that nine losses in nine games is a run of form that will be hard to turn around. With 22 points (5W, 23L and 7D), they are established in twentieth position in the League having won five games, drawn seven meetings, and lost 23 fixtures.

Playing at home, Venezia have won two matches, drawn four games, and lost 11 meetings.

A win in this fixture would take Venezia’s points to 25 in the League.

Venezia are no strangers this season to illness and injury and Andrea Soncin is concerned that Sunday’s fixture could see him without five of his key players.

This season’s Serie A campaign, has so far seen Bologna achieve 43 points

Following a 0-0 draw against Roma, Bologna will be hoping for more.

Also, Bologna have developed a habit of drawing football matches this season, which is reflected by their position in the table. They currently stand thirteenth in the League, with 43 points for a total of 11 wins, 14 losses and 10 draws having won 11 fixtures, drawn 10 matches, and lost 14 meetings.

Bologna have had a disappointing run of performances on the road, having won three games, drawn six fixtures, and lost eight meetings of their 17 League matches on the road this season.

A victory for Bologna would put them on 46 points.

It is likely that one key players will miss Sunday’s fixture, which is something of a concern for Sinisa Mihajlovic and his Bologna team.
