Udinese 1-2 Torino: Home defeat for Bianconeri as The Bull take points

Torino beated Udinese 2-1 on Sunday at the Stadio Friuli. Udinese arrived with the intention of improving their league position following a disappointing 0-0 draw with Lazio in their previous game whilst Torino were beaten 1-0 in their previous match against Juventus. Udinese are now in 6th place, with 21 points from 11 matches, while Torino sit in 9th, with 14 points from 11.

The Bull started strongly in the first half, with a goal from Ola Aina on the 14 minute mark. However, their lead was short-lived, as Gerard Deulofeu equalised for Bianconeri in the 26th minute, to take a 1-1 lead into half time.

Torino continued to pile on the pressure in the second period and were rewarded, when Pietro Pellegri gave them the lead, 69 minutes in. When the final whistle blew, the result was 2-1 to Torino.

Substitutions for Udinese included Tolgay Arslan, Sandi Lovric, Beto, Ilija Nestorovski and Kingsley Ehizibue for Jean-Victor Makengo, Lazar Samardzic, Isaac Success, Walace and Nehuen Perez, respectively. Torino brought on Mergim Vojvoda, Nemanja Radonjic, Karol Linetty and Yann Karamoh, to replace Valentino Lazaro, Aleksey Miranchuk, Samuele Ricci and Pietro Pellegri.

There were bookings for Isaac Success, Gerard Deulofeu and Jaka Bijol from Udinese, and Valentino Lazaro, Ola Aina, Vanja Milinkovic-Savic and Karol Linetty, for Torino.

Udinese will next travel to Cremonese, while Torino will face AC Milan at home.
