Udinese 4-0 Roma: Giallorossi ship 4 in shock heavy loss at Udinese

Roma suffered an away loss to Udinese on Sunday at the Stadio Friuli. Both sides arrived on the back of wins. Udinese were looking to continue their good run after winning their previous two games against Fiorentina at home and AC Monza away, by 1-0 and 2-1 respectively whilst Roma had been hopeful of extending their winning run, after a 3-0 victory against AC Monza. both teams are now on 10 points and sit in 4th and 5th places respectively after 5 matches.

Udinese started the match strongly, with an early goal from Iyenoma Destiny Udogie in the 5th minute and saw the first half out 1-0.

Bianconeri continued to pile on the pressure in the second half and were rewarded, thanks to a goal from Lazar Samardzic in the 56th minute. The momentum was again with Udinese, who then scored again courtesy of a goal from Roberto Pereyra, 75 minutes in to establish a 3-0 result. Udinese then netted again and increased their advantage thanks to a goal from Sandi Lovric on the 82 minute mark to make it 4-0.

Substitutions for Udinese included Enzo Ebosse, Beto, Sandi Lovric, Jean-Victor Makengo and Kingsley Ehizibue for Jaka Bijol, Isaac Success, Tolgay Arslan, Lazar Samardzic and Roberto Pereyra, respectively. Roma brought on Andrea Belotti, Zeki Celik, Nicola Zalewski, Eldor Shomurodov and Mady Camara, to replace Bryan Cristante, Rick Karsdorp, Gianluca Mancini, Tammy Abraham and Lorenzo Pellegrini.

There were bookings for Iyenoma Destiny Udogie, Jean-Victor Makengo and Roberto Pereyra from Udinese. For Roma, Paulo Dybala and Lorenzo Pellegrini saw yellow.
