Udinese 1 – Roma 1: Bianconeri can only manage draw at home

Udinese were held to 1-1 draw by Roma down on Sunday at the Stadio Friuli. Both Udinese and Roma arrived at the challenge after previous wins. Udinese were looking to pick up points after winning last match. Roma were coming from consecutive wins against Atalanta and Spezia Calcio. As the table looks today, Udinese are currently 14th with 30 points from 29 matches, while Roma sit in 5th, with 48 points from 29.

It was an impressive opening from Bianconeri, thanks to Nahuel Molina giving Udinese the lead at the 15 minute mark, ending the first half 1-0.

Roma took the lead in the second half, with a goal from Lorenzo Pellegrini just before the final whistle and seeing the game end 1-1.

For Udinese, Marvin Zeegelaar, Ignacio Pussetto and Lazar Samardzic, came on for Nehuen Perez, Gerard Deulofeu and Jean-Victor Makengo. Roma brought on Stephan El Shaarawy, Felix Afena-Gyan, Eldor Shomurodov, Jordan Veretout and Carles Perez, to replace Sergio Oliveira, Nicola Zalewski, Tammy Abraham, Rick Karsdorp and Gianluca Mancini.

There were bookings for Gerard Deulofeu, Jean-Victor Makengo and Rodrigo Becao from Udinese. For Roma, Felix Afena-Gyan and Roger Ibanez saw yellow.

Udinese will next travel to Napoli, while Roma will face Lazio at home.
