Udinese 1-1 Lecce: Bianconeri frustated by Lecce in home draw

On Friday, Udinese and Lecce played out a 1-1 draw at the Stadio Friuli. Udinese were looking for a victory following a disappointing 0-0 draw with Cremonese in their previous game while Lecce were beaten 1-0 in their previous match against Juventus. Udinese and Lecce currently occupy 7th and 16th spots in the league, with 23 points and 9 points respectively after 13 matches.

It was an impressive opening from Lecce, when Lorenzo Colombo gave them the lead on the 33 minute mark and the first half ended 1-0.

Bianconeri took the lead in the second half, when Beto found the net, at 68 minutes, seing the match finish 1-1.

Substitutions for Udinese included Isaac Success, Bram Nuytinck, Mato Jajalo and Festy Ebosele for Tolgay Arslan, Kingsley Ehizibue, Lazar Samardzic and Gerard Deulofeu, respectively. Lecce replaced Samuel Umtiti, Gabriel Strefezza, Lorenzo Colombo, Joan Gonzalez and Lameck Banda for Kastriot Dermaku, Federico Di Francesco, Assan Ceesay, Kristijan Bistrovic and Remi Oudin.

There were bookings for Gerard Deulofeu and Jaka Bijol from Udinese. For Lecce, Samuel Umtiti, Valentin Gendrey and Remi Oudin saw yellow.

Udinese will next travel to Spezia Calcio, while Lecce will face Atalanta at home.
