Internazionale fell to an away defeat at the hands of Udinese at the Stadio Friuli on Sunday. Both Udinese and Inter arrived in good form, having secured victories in their previous matches. Udinese were looking to continue their good run after winning their previous two games in the competition. The most recent was against the Sassuolo away (3-1), the other to Roma at home (4-0). Inter were able to continue their winning streak after a 1-0 win against Torino in their last match. Udinese are now in 4th place on the table and have 13 points while Inter sit in 6th with 12 points after 7 matches.

Inter started the first half well, with an early goal from Nicolo Barella in the 5th minute. However, their lead was short-lived, as Milan Skriniar equalised for Bianconeri in the 22nd minute, to take a 1-1 lead into half time.

Udinese rallied after this and were rewarded, thanks to a goal from Jaka Bijol, 84 minutes in. They then scored again, pulling level thanks to a goal from Tolgay Arslan just before the full time to give a final score of 3-1.

Substitutions for Udinese included Lazar Samardzic, Kingsley Ehizibue, Isaac Success, Tolgay Arslan and Enzo Ebosse for Jean-Victor Makengo, Roberto Pereyra, Beto, Sandi Lovric and Iyenoma Destiny Udogie, respectively. Inter brought on Roberto Gagliardini, Federico Dimarco, Danilo D`Ambrosio, Joaquin Correa and Stefan De Vrij, to replace Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Alessandro Bastoni, Matteo Darmian, Edin Dzeko and Francesco Acerbi.

There were bookings for Roberto Pereyra, Iyenoma Destiny Udogie and Rodrigo Becao from Udinese, and Alessandro Bastoni, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Matteo Darmian and Marcelo Brozovic, for Inter.
