Torino 0-1 Sassuolo: Neroverdi get valuable away win at the Stadio Olimpico di Torino

Torino were defeated at home by Sassuolo at the Stadio Olimpico di Torino on Saturday. Both teams arrived at the match with previous defeats in the league. Torino were looking to get back to winning ways after losing their last match 1-0 to Internazionale while Sassuolo had lost their previous match against Udinese. Torino and Sassuolo are 9th, (10 points) and 10th, (9 points), in the table respectively, after 7 matches.

Following a goalless first half, Neroverdi continued to apply pressure in the second period and were rewarded, thanks to a goal from Agustin Alvarez Martinez just before the full time. The final result, Torino 0, Sassuolo 1.

Substitutions for Torino included Antonio Sanabria, Pietro Pellegri, Ola Aina and David Zima for Demba Seck, Nemanja Radonjic, Valentino Lazaro and Koffi Djidji, respectively. Sassuolo brought on Kristian Thorstvedt, Emil Konradsen Ceide and Agustin Alvarez Martinez, to replace Abdou Harroui, Luca D’Andrea and Andrea Pinamonti.

There were bookings for Alessandro Buongiorno, Valentino Lazaro, Wilfried Stephane Singo and Karol Linetty from Torino, and Maxime Lopez, for Sassuolo.

Torino will next travel to Napoli, while Sassuolo will face Salernitana at home.
