Torino 0-3 Roma: Giallorossi thump Torino to move into Top 5 contention

Torino succumbed to a home defeat to Roma at the Stadio Olimpico di Torino on Friday. Torino were keen to hang onto their position at the top of league and extend their winning run, following a 1-0 victory against Hellas Verona. Roma, on the other hand, are struggling for form following a draw in their last match. Following the final whistle at the end of the last game of the Serie A season, Torino are in 10th place on the table and has 50 points while Roma sit in 5th with 63 points after 38 matches.

Roma found the net first, with Tammy Abraham opening the rout at the 33 minute mark. However they weren’t finished yet and Tammy Abraham made it 2-0 just before half-time. The score at half time was 0-2.

Giallorossi continued to apply pressure in the second and were rewarded, with Lorenzo Pellegrini finding the net in the 78th minute. When the final wisthle blew, the result was 3-0 to Roma.

For Torino, Alessandro Buongiorno, Marko Pjaca, Demba Seck, Pietro Pellegri and Rolando Mandragora, came on for Ricardo Rodriguez, Josip Brekalo, Cristian Ansaldi, Andrea Belotti and Samuele Ricci. Roma brought on Bryan Cristante, Rick Karsdorp, Nicolo Zaniolo, Matias Vina and Stephan El Shaarawy, to replace Sergio Oliveira, Nicola Zalewski, Eldor Shomurodov, Leonardo Spinazzola and Lorenzo Pellegrini.

There were bookings for Cristian Ansaldi and Alessandro Buongiorno from Torino. For Roma, Roger Ibanez and Eldor Shomurodov saw yellow.
