Sassuolo 1-3 Udinese: Bianconeri win on thr road with Beto netting a brace

Udinese beat Sassuolo with a 3-1 victory on Sunday at the MAPEI Stadium. Sassuolo arrived with the intention of improving their league position following a disappointing 0-0 draw with Cremonese in their previous game. Udinese were coming from consecutive wins against Roma and Fiorentina. Sassuolo and Udinese currently occupy 12th and 4th spots in the table, with 6 points and 13 points respectively after 6 matches.

Neroverdi dominated the first half, when Davide Frattesi found the net on the 33 minute mark, finishing the first half 1-0.

Bianconeri continued to pile on the pressure in the second period and were rewarded, thanks to a goal from Beto on the 75 minute mark. Udinese looked to have the match under control when they scored again to grab the advantage, thanks to a goal from Lazar Samardzic in the 90th minute to establish a 2-1. They then scored again, pulling level thanks to a 2nd effort from Beto just before the full time to give a final score of 3-1.

Substitutions for Sassuolo included Kaan Ayhan, Abdou Harroui, Kristian Thorstvedt, Riccardo Marchizza and Agustin Alvarez Martinez for Giorgos Kyriakopoulos, Davide Frattesi, Armand Lauriente, Andrea Pinamonti and Matheus Henrique, respectively. Udinese brought on Kingsley Ehizibue, Lazar Samardzic, Beto, Ilija Nestorovski and Jean-Victor Makengo, to replace Enzo Ebosse, Tolgay Arslan, Isaac Success, Walace and Gerard Deulofeu.

The referee booked five players. Maxime Lopez from Sassuolo, who saw yellow cards and Ruan, sent off with a red, as well as for Udinese Rodrigo Becao, Enzo Ebosse and Kingsley Ehizibue also seeing yellows.

Sassuolo will next play Torino away, with Udinese facing Internazionale at home.
