Sassuolo at home against Juve – Monday – 8:45pm GMT – The MAPEI Stadium.

Juve go to the MAPEI Stadium with Champion’s League dreams for next season very much alive. They currently sit in fourth as they take on tenth placed Sassuolo.

Sassuolo’s Serie A season, has so far seen them gain 46 points, going into this game

Sassuolo must take a positive approach to this game, if they are to get anything out of, following their recent defeat to Cagliari at Unipol Domus.

Also, Sassuolo keep finding ways to win, having secured five victories in their last eight matches is astonishing this season. Their position is tenth in the League and they have 46 points, that is, 12W, 11L and 10D having won 12 fixtures, drawn 10 games, and lost 11 meetings.

Sassuolo have won six matches, drawn five meetings, and lost five matches of their 16 League matches at home this season.

Winning this fixture will see Sassuolo on 49 points.

Good Attacking Performance

They have a good scoring rate of 58 goals (54 from open play and four penalties). This season, their stand-out attacking players have been Hamed Junior Traoré (6), Gianluca Scamacca (5), and Domenico Berardi (4). Teams that leak goals on a consistent basis, don’t tend to win anything, such is the situation with Sassuolo so far, having conceded 53 goals in their last fixtures so far.

Alessio Dionisi will be forced to make changes to the plans for his squad, as injury or illness has depleted him of three of his Sassuolo players.

Juventus’ campaign so far has seen them accrue 63 points this season

Whilst a disappointing 1-1 draw against Bologna in their last game, is not the worst result they could have experienced, Juve will be keen to improve the result in this fixture.

Also, slow and steady wins the race, Juve are showing that they know by avoiding defeat in 18 of their last 19 matches, which has contributed significantly to their rise up the table. With 63 points (18W, 6L and 9D), they are established in fourth position in the League having won 18 games, drawn nine meetings, and lost six meetings.

Juve’s away record is remarkable and poses a significant threat to Sassuolo. In the 16 games they’ve played on the road this season, they have so far won nine matches, drawn five games, and lost two fixtures.

A win in this fixture would take Juventus’s points to 66 in the League.

Good atacking and defensive team

It’s an easy statement to make, but to win you simply have to score more goals than your opponent. Juve have been consistently applying this principle, whilst remaining defensively solid as a unit this season, with 29 goals in their previous games. Juve have a good scoring record this season, with 50 netted so far (49 from open play and one penalty). This season, their stand-out attacking players have been Dusan Vlahovic (6), Alvaro Morata (3), and Matthijs De Ligt (2).

Juve are likely to be missing six of their key players when they start Monday’s game, due to injury and illness.
