Sampdoria 1 – Juve 3: The Old Lady get valuable away win at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris

Sampdoria were defeated at home by Juventus at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris on Saturday. Sampdoria arrived at the game looking pick up points, following a previous defeat to Udinese. Juve were coming from consecutive wins against Spezia Calcio and Empoli. As it stands, Sampdoria are in 16th place, with 26 points from 29 matches, while Juve sit in 4th, with 56 points from 29.

Juve dominated the first half, with a goal from Maya Yoshida, 23 minutes in. However they weren’t finished yet and Alvaro Morata made it 2-0, 34 minutes in, finishing the first half 0-2.

The Blue-circled took the initiative in the second half, thanks to Abdelhamid Sabiri finding the net at the 84 minute mark. The Old Lady in turn, then responded just before the final whistle increasing their lead with a second effort from Alvaro Morata, leaving the final score at 3-1.

For Sampdoria, Abdelhamid Sabiri, Sebastian Giovinco, Simone Trimboli and Andrea Conti, came on for Fabio Quagliarella, Stefano Sensi, Tomas Rincon and Tommaso Augello. Juve brought on Dusan Vlahovic, Alex Sandro and Mattia De Sciglio, to replace Moise Kean, Adrien Rabiot and Luca Pellegrini.

The referee booked Adrien Rabiot and Luca Pellegrini for Juve.

Sampdoria will next travel to Venezia, while Juve will face Salernitana at home.
