Salernitana 2-2 Empoli: Four-goal thriller at the Stadio Arechi

On Monday, Salernitana and Empoli played out a 2-2 draw at Stadio Arechi. With both teams drawing in their previous fixtures, they were each keen to pick up points. Salernitana were aiming to improve their league standing following a disappointing 1-1 draw with Bologna in their previous game. Empoli, meanwhile, were struggling for form following a draw in their last match. Salernitana are now in 10th place, with 6 points from 5 matches, while Empoli sit in 15th, with 4 points from 5.

The first half of the match started favourably for Empoli, when Martin Satriano gave them the lead in the 31st minute. However, their lead was short-lived, as Pasquale Mazzocchi equalised for Salernitana, 39 minutes in, concluding the first half 1-1.

Salernitana will next travel to Juventus, while Empoli will face Roma at home.
