Salernitana 2-2 Cremonese: Granate denied maximum points at Stadio Arechi

On Saturday, Salernitana and USC played out a 2-2 draw at Stadio Arechi. Salernitana were looking to continue their good run after winning their previous two games in the league. The most recent was against the Lazio away (3-1), the other to Spezia Calcio at home (1-0). USC had managed to pick up a point in their matchup with Udinese. Salernitana are now in 9th place on the table and have 17 points while USC sit in 19th with 6 points after 13 matches.

However, they were unable to maintain their lead, David Okereke managing to equalize, at 12 minutes 1-1. However, Salernitana found the back of the net following a Lassana Coulibaly goal on the 38 minute mark, finishing the first half 2-1.

USC took the lead in the second half, thanks to a goal from Daniel Ciofani just before the full time, seing the match finish 2-2.

Substitutions for Salernitana included Lorenzo Pirola, Federico Bonazzoli, Tonny Vilhena, Emil Bohinen and Erik Botheim for Matteo Lovato, Krzysztof Piatek, Antonio Candreva, Ivan Radovanovic and Boulaye Dia, respectively. USC replaced Luca Zanimacchia, Emanuele Valeri, Daniel Ciofani, Felix Afena-Gyan and Michele Castagnetti with Cristian Buonaiuto, Giacomo Quagliata, Frank Tsadjout, David Okereke and Soualiho Meite.

There were bookings for Federico Fazio and Luigi Sepe from Salernitana. For USC, Jack Hendry and Leonardo Sernicola saw yellow.

Salernitana will play away against Fiorentina, while USC will face AC Milan at home.
