Roma 0-1 Lazio: The White and Sky Blues sink the Giallorossi

Lazio strolled past Roma with a 1-0 win on Sunday at the Stadio Olympico. Roma had been hopeful of continuing their good run after winning last match. Lazio were beaten 3-1 in their previous match against Salernitana. Roma are currently 5th with 25 points from 13 matches, while Lazio sit in 3rd, with 27 points from 13.

The White and Sky Blues started the first half well, when Felipe Anderson gave them the lead, 29 minutes in to see out the first half 1-0. With both teams struggling to produce anything meaningful in the second half though, the match ended 1-0.

Substitutions for Roma included Zeki Celik, Cristian Volpato, Stephan El Shaarawy, Andrea Belotti and Nemanja Matic for Gianluca Mancini, Lorenzo Pellegrini, Rick Karsdorp, Nicola Zalewski and Mady Camara, respectively. Lazio brought on Matteo Cancellieri, Elseid Hysaj, Toma Basic and Luka Romero for Pedro, Manuel Lazzari, Luis Alberto and Mattia Zaccagni.

There were bookings for Gianluca Mancini and Rui Patricio from Roma. For Lazio, Manuel Lazzari, Matias Vecino and Stefan Radu saw yellow.

Roma will next play Sassuolo away, with Lazio facing AC Monza at home.
