Lecce 0-1 Juventus: Nicolo Fagioli goal edges The Old Lady to narrow win

Lecce fell to a home defeat at the hands of Juventus at Via Del Mare on Saturday. Lecce were looking to get back to winning ways after losing 2-0 to Bologna in their previous fixture. Juve were coming from consecutive wins against Empoli and Torino. Lecce and Juve are 17th, (8 points) and 5th, (22 points), spots respectively, after 12 matches.

Following a goalless first half, Juve continued to pile on the pressure in the second period and were rewarded, with a goal from Nicolo Fagioli, 73 minutes in, seing the match finish 1-0.

Substitutions for Lecce included Kristoffer Askildsen, Lameck Banda, Federico Di Francesco, Lorenzo Colombo and Pablo Rodriguez for Alexis Blin, Remi Oudin, Gabriel Strefezza, Assan Ceesay and Joan Gonzalez, respectively. Juve brought on Nicolo Fagioli, Moise Kean, Samuel Iling-Junior and Leonardo Bonucci, to replace Weston McKennie, Fabio Miretti, Filip Kostic and Matias Soule.

There were bookings for Assan Ceesay, Marin Pongracic and Federico Di Francesco from Lecce. For Juve, Fabio Miretti, Juan Cuadrado, Arkadiusz Milik, Federico Gatti and Samuel Iling-Junior saw yellow.

Lecce will next travel to Udinese, while Juve will face Internazionale at home.
