Lecce 1-1 Fiorentina: Giallorossi unable to break dead-lock Fiorentina

Lecce were helde ach other to a 1-1 draw by Fiorentina on Monday at Via Del Mare. Both Lecce and Fiorentina came from defeats in their previous league games. Lecce were looking forward to playing again after losing their last match 2-1 to Roma, while Fiorentina had lost their previous match against Lazio. Lecce are now in 16th place, with 8 points from 10 matches, while Fiorentina sit in 13th, with 10 points from 10.

Lecce started the first half well, when Assan Ceesay found the net just before half-time

Fiorentina started the second half with renewed vigour, with an early goal from Christian Kouame in the 48th minute, leaving the final score at 1-1.

Substitutions for Lecce included Kristijan Bistrovic, Federico Di Francesco, Valentin Gendrey, Thorir Johann Helgason and Remi Oudin for Kristoffer Askildsen, Lameck Banda, Samuel Umtiti, Joan Gonzalez and Gabriel Strefezza, respectively. Fiorentina brought on Arthur Cabral, Nikola Milenkovic, Alfred Duncan and Jonathan Ikone, to replace Luka Jovic, Igor, Rolando Mandragora and Christian Kouame.

The referee booked nine players. Alexis Blin, Gabriel Strefezza, Samuel Umtiti and Antonino Gallo from Lecce, who saw yellow cards and Antonino Gallo (2 yellow cards), sent off with a red, as well as for Fiorentina Rolando Mandragora, Christian Kouame, Pietro Terracciano and Lucas Martinez received yellows.

Lecce will next travel to Bologna, while Fiorentina will face Internazionale at home.
