Lecce 1-1 AC Monza: Newly-promoted Monza get their first point

On Sunday, Lecce and ASS played out a 1-1 draw at Via Del Mare. Both Lecce and ASS came from defeats in their previous league games. Lecce arrived at the match looking to pick up more points after losing their last match 1-0 to Torino. ASS had lost their previous match against Atalanta. Lecce are now in 17th place, with 3 points from 6 matches, while ASS sit in 20th, with 1 point from 6.

It was an impressive opening from ASS, when Stefano Sensi gave them the lead, 35 minutes in, finishing the first half 1-0.

Giallorossi started the second half with an intensified spirit, with an early goal from Joan Gonzalez in the 48th minute. The match ended wih a 1-1 draw.

Substitutions for Lecce included Joan Gonzalez, Antonino Gallo, Lorenzo Colombo, Pablo Rodriguez and Kristoffer Askildsen for Thorir Johann Helgason, Giuseppe Pezzella, Assan Ceesay, Federico Di Francesco and Kristijan Bistrovic, respectively. ASS brought on Salvatore Molina, Andrea Colpani, Patrick Ciurria, Mattia Valoti and Pepin, to replace Samuele Birindelli, Nicolo Rovella, Gianluca Caprari, Matteo Pessina and Stefano Sensi.

There were bookings for Valentin Gendrey, Federico Di Francesco and Lameck Banda from Lecce. For ASS, Samuele Birindelli, Stefano Sensi and Salvatore Molina saw yellow.

Lecce will next travel to Salernitana, while ASS will face Juventus at home.
