Lazio 1 – Venezia 0: The White and Sky Blues deliver decisive win at the Stadio Olympico

Lazio snatched all three points from Venezia in a 1-0 victory on Monday, at the Stadio Olympico. Lazio were looking to continue their run, following a 3-0 victory against Cagliari. Venezia had lost their previous match against Sassuolo. After today’s result, Lazio are in 5th place on the table and has 49 points while Venezia sit in 18th with 22 points after 29 matches.

After an un-eventful first half, Lazio applied pressure in the second and were rewarded, with a goal from Ciro Immobile at the 58 minute mark. The game ended 1-0 to Lazio.

For Lazio, Pedro, Manuel Lazzari and Toma Basic, came on for Mattia Zaccagni, Patric and Luis Alberto. Venezia brought on Tyronne Ebuehi, Thomas Henry, Sofian Kiyine, Nani and Arnor Sigurdsson for Ales Mateju, Jean-Pierre Nsame, Domen Crnigoj, Gianluca Busio and Luca Fiordilino.

There were bookings for Mattia Zaccagni from Lazio, and Ales Mateju, for Venezia.

Lazio will next travel to Roma, while Venezia will face Sampdoria at home.
