Lazio 1 – Torino 1: Victory elusive at the Stadio Olympico for both sides

Lazio were held to 1-1 draw by Torino down on Saturday at the Stadio Olympico. Lazio were looking to pick up points after winning their previous two matches against Genoa away and Sassuolo at home, by 4-1 and 2-1 respectively. Torino secured a point against AC Milan in their previous match. As it stands, Lazio and Torino currently occupy 6th and 11th spots in the table, with 56 points and 40 points respectively after 33 matches.

After an un-eventful first half, Torino took the initiative in the second half, with Pietro Pellegri giving The Bull the lead, 56 minutes in. In the end though, their celebrations were kept brief, as Ciro Immobile equalised for Lazio just before the final whistle. The final result, Lazio 1, Torino 1.

For Lazio, Luiz Felipe, Danilo Cataldi, Toma Basic and Luka Romero, came on for Patric, Lucas Leiva, Luis Alberto and Felipe Anderson. Torino replaced Pietro Pellegri, David Zima, Wilfried Stephane Singo and Alessandro Buongiorno with Andrea Belotti, Armando Izzo, Ola Aina and Tommaso Pobega.

There were bookings for Ciro Immobile from Lazio. For Torino, Pietro Pellegri and Sasa Lukic saw yellow.

Torino and Lazio will next play at home to Spezia Calcio and AC Milan respectively.
