Lazio 1-3 Salernitana: The White and Sky Blues suffer shock home defeat

Lazio on home loss to Salernitana at the Stadio Olympico on Sunday. Both Lazio and Salernitana arrived in good form, having secured victories in their previous matches. Lazio were looking to pick up points after winning last match. Salernitana, meanwhile, were looking to extend their winning run after a 1-0 victory against Spezia Calcio. Lazio are now in 4th place, with 24 points from 12 matches, while Salernitana sit in 9th, with 16 points from 12.

Salernitana fought back, thanks to a goal from Antonio Candreva on the 51 minute mark. granate looked to have the match under control when they scored again to grab the advantage, thanks to a goal from Federico Fazio, at 68 minutes to establish a 2-1. They then scored again, pulling level thanks to a goal from Boulaye Dia in the 76th minute to give a final score of 3-1.

Substitutions for Lazio included Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Matteo Cancellieri, Toma Basic and Elseid Hysaj for Luis Alberto, Pedro, Danilo Cataldi and Adam Marusic, respectively. Salernitana brought on Dylan Bronn, Boulaye Dia, Emil Bohinen, Erik Botheim and Tonny Vilhena, to replace Norbert Gyomber, Federico Bonazzoli, Lassana Coulibaly, Krzysztof Piatek and Domagoj Bradaric.

There were bookings for Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Adam Marusic and Matteo Cancellieri from Lazio. For Salernitana, Lassana Coulibaly, Luigi Sepe and Boulaye Dia saw yellow.

Lazio will play their next fixture away against Roma, while Salernitana will face Cremonese at home.
