Lazio eased past Internazionale in a 3-1 victory on Friday at the Stadio Olympico. Lazio wanted to continue adding points after a scoreless draw against Torino in their previous match. Inter were hoping to increase their winning streak after back-to-back victories against Spezia Calcio and Lecce. After today’s result, Lazio and Inter currently occupy 1st and 3rd spots in the league, with 7 points and 6 points respectively after 3 matches.

Lazio started the first half well, when Felipe Anderson gave The White and Sky Blues the lead just before halftime

Nerazzurri staged a comeback in the second half, when Lautaro Martinez found the net, 51 minutes in. However, each side looked hungry to win and Lazio then found the back of the net in the 75th minute thanks to Luis Alberto, taking the score to 2-1. They then scored again, increasing their advantage thanks to a goal from Pedro just before the final whistle with a final score of 3-1.

Substitutions for Lazio included Luis Alberto, Pedro, Elseid Hysaj, Matteo Cancellieri and Marcos Antonio for Matias Vecino, Mattia Zaccagni, Manuel Lazzari, Felipe Anderson and Danilo Cataldi, repectively. Inter brought on Matteo Darmian, Edin Dzeko, Robin Gosens, Joaquin Correa and Hakan Calhanoglu, to replace Denzel Dumfries, Romelu Lukaku, Federico Dimarco, Nicolo Barella and Roberto Gagliardini.

There were bookings for Mattia Zaccagni and Adam Marusic from Lazio. For Inter, Marcelo Brozovic saw yellow.

Lazio will next play Sampdoria away, with Inter facing Cremonese at home.
