Lazio eased past Hellas Verona in a 2-0 victory on Sunday at Stadio Olimpico. Lazio were looking to get back to winning ways after losing their last match 2-1 to Napoli. Verona, meanwhile, were able to continue their winning streak after a 2-1 win against Sampdoria in their last match. Lazio and Verona are 6th, (11 points) and 14th, (5 points), in the league respectively, after 6 matches.

After an uneventful first half, The White and Sky Blues applied pressure in the second and were rewarded, when Ciro Immobile found the net in the 68th minute. However they weren’t finished yet and Luis Alberto made it 2-0 just before the full time to make it 2-0.

Substitutions for Lazio included Luis Alberto, Matteo Cancellieri, Matias Vecino and Elseid Hysaj for Toma Basic, Felipe Anderson, Marcos Antonio and Manuel Lazzari, respectively. Verona brought on Adrien Tameze, Juan Cabal, Fabio Depaoli, Yayah Kallon and Ajdin Hrustic, to replace Miguel Veloso, Federico Ceccherini, Filippo Terracciano, Kevin Lasagna and Darko Lazovic.

There were bookings for Luis Alberto and Elseid Hysaj from Lazio. For Verona, Miguel Veloso, Federico Ceccherini, Diego Coppola, Juan Cabal and Isak Hien saw yellow.

Next up, Lazio are away to Cremonese, whilst Verona will travel to face Fiorentina.
