Juventus 4-0 Empoli: The Old Lady blaze 4 past Azzurri at the Allianz Stadium

Juventus eased past Empoli in a 4-0 victory on Friday at the Allianz Stadium. Both teams arrived in good form, having secured victories in their previous matches. Juve were looking to pick up points, following a 1-0 victory against Torino. Empoli were looking to extend their winning run after a 1-0 victory against AC Monza. Juve are now in 7th place, with 19 points from 11 matches, while Empoli sit in 11th, with 11 points from 11.

Juve started the match strongly, when Moise Kean opened the rout in the 8th minute to see out the first half 1-0.

The Old Lady continued to pile on the pressure in the second half and were rewarded, with a goal from Weston McKennie in the 56th minute. The momentum was again with Juve, who then scored again courtesy of a goal from Adrien Rabiot, 82 minutes in to establish a 3-0 result. They then extended the lead with a 2nd effort from Adrien Rabiot just before the final whistle to give a final score of 4-0.

Substitutions for Juve included Arkadiusz Milik, Leandro Paredes, Alex Sandro, Fabio Miretti and Samuel Iling-Junior for Dusan Vlahovic, Weston McKennie, Daniele Rugani, Moise Kean and Filip Kostic, respectively. Empoli brought on Nedim Bajrami, Tommaso Baldanzi, Liam Henderson, Sam Lammers and Duccio Degli Innocenti, to replace Marko Pjaca, Martin Satriano, Filippo Bandinelli, Mattia Destro and Nicolas Haas.

There were bookings for Juan Cuadrado and Adrien Rabiot from Juve, and Martin Satriano and Nicolas Haas, for Empoli.

Juve will next travel to Lecce, while Empoli will face Atalanta at home.
