Inter 1-0 Torino: Nerazzurri edge tight duel with Torino at the San Siro

Torino fell to an away defeat at the hands of Internazionale at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on Saturday. Inter arrived at the match looking to pick up more points after losing 3-2 to AC Milan in their last match. Torino were able to continue their winning streak after a 1-0 win against Lecce in their last match. Inter are now in 3rd place on the table and have 12 points while Torino sit in 7th with 10 points after 6 matches.

After an uneventful first half, Nerazzurri piled on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, when Marcelo Brozovic gave them the lead just before the final whistle. The final result, Inter 1, Torino 0.

Substitutions for Inter included Joaquin Correa, Alessandro Bastoni, Raoul Bellanova, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Robin Gosens for Edin Dzeko, Denzel Dumfries, Federico Dimarco, Hakan Calhanoglu and Matteo Darmian, respectively. Torino brought on Emirhan Ilkhan, Nemanja Radonjic, David Zima, Pietro Pellegri and Wilfried Stephane Singo, to replace Karol Linetty, Demba Seck, Ricardo Rodriguez, Antonio Sanabria and Valentino Lazaro.

There were bookings for Marcelo Brozovic and Lautaro Martinez from Inter, and Antonio Sanabria and Sasa Lukic, for Torino.

Inter will next travel to Udinese, while Torino will face Sassuolo at home.
