Inter 3-0 Spezia: Nerazzurri secure all 3 points in easy home win

Spezia Calcio fell to an away defeat at the hands of Internazionale at Giuseppe Meazza on Saturday. Both Inter and Spezia arrived on the back of wins. Inter were keen to hang onto their position at the top of league and extend their winning run, following a 2-1 victory against Lecce. Spezia were looking to extend their winning run after a 1-0 victory against Empoli. As the table looks today, Inter and Spezia are 1st, (6 points) and 11th, (3 points), in the table respectively, after 2 matches.

Inter started strong and were rewarded for their efforts, when Lautaro Martinez opened the rout in the 35th minute to take them into the break 1-0 up.

Nerazzurri started strong in the second half and were able to dominate, with a goal from Hakan Calhanoglu in the 52nd minute. They then scored again, increasing their advantage thanks to a goal from Joaquin Correa, 82 minutes in to make it 3-0.

Substitutions for Inter included Edin Dzeko, Robin Gosens, Roberto Gagliardini, Joaquin Correa and Kristjan Asllani for Romelu Lukaku, Federico Dimarco, Hakan Calhanoglu, Lautaro Martinez and Marcelo Brozovic, repectively. Spezia replaced David Strelec, Petko Hristov, Viktor Kovalenko, Mikael Ellertsson and Emil Holm with Jacopo Sala, Mattia Caldara, Simone Bastoni, Kevin Agudelo and Emmanuel Gyasi.

Inter will next play Lazio away, with Spezia facing Sassuolo at home.
