Inter 0 – Sassuolo 2: Visitors ecstatic after win at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza

Sassuolo beat Internazionale with a thumping 2-0 victory on Sunday at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza. With both teams drawing in their previous fixtures, they were keen to pick up points. Inter arrived with the intention of increasing their league score following a disappointing 1-1 draw with Napoli in their previous game. Sassuolo secured a point against Roma in their previous match. As the table looks today, Inter are in 2nd place on the table and has 54 points while Sassuolo sit in 11th with 33 points after 26 matches.

Neroverdi started strong and were rewarded for their efforts, thanks to Giacomo Raspadori giving Sassuolo the lead in the 8th minute. Sassuolo then netted once more and increased their advantage thanks to a goal from Gianluca Scamacca at the 26 minute mark, finishing the first half 0-2. The second half ended with little further action at either end and goalless.

For Inter, Denzel Dumfries, Edin Dzeko, Arturo Vidal and Danilo D`Ambrosio, came on for Matteo Darmian, Roberto Gagliardini, Hakan Calhanoglu and Ivan Perisic. Sassuolo replaced Kaan Ayhan, Gianluca Scamacca, Davide Frattesi, Hamed Junior Traoré and Domenico Berardi for Ruan, Gregoire Defrel, Matheus Henrique, Abdou Harroui and Federico Peluso.

There were bookings for Danilo D`Ambrosio from Inter, and Giacomo Raspadori and Mert Muldur, for Sassuolo.

Inter will next travel to Genoa, while Sassuolo will face Fiorentina at home.
