Inter 2-0 Salernitana: Nerazzurri secure the points at the San Siro

Internazionale beat Salernitana with a 2-0 victory on Sunday at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza. Both Inter and Salernitana arrived on the back of wins. Inter were looking to pick up points after winning last match. Salernitana, meanwhile, had been hopeful of extending their winning run, after a 2-1 victory against Hellas Verona. Inter are now in 7th place, with 18 points from 10 matches, while Salernitana sit in 12th, with 10 points from 10.

The first half of the match started favourably for Inter, when Lautaro Martinez found the net, at 14 minutes, finishing the first half 1-0.

Nerazzurri once more applied the pressure in the second half and were rewarded, with a goal from Nicolo Barella, 58 minutes in. When the final whistle blew, the result was 2-0 to Inter.

Substitutions for Inter included Robin Gosens, Kristjan Asllani, Joaquin Correa, Raoul Bellanova and Matteo Darmian for Federico Dimarco, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Edin Dzeko, Denzel Dumfries and Hakan Calhanoglu, respectively. Salernitana brought on Federico Bonazzoli, Diego Valencia, Emil Bohinen, Dylan Bronn and Junior Sambia, to replace Krzysztof Piatek, Grigoris Kastanos, Tonny Vilhena, Pasquale Mazzocchi and Lorenzo Pirola.

The referee booked one player from Salernitana, Flavius Daniliuc.

Inter will next travel to Fiorentina, while Salernitana will face Spezia Calcio at home.
