Inter 3-1 Cremonese: Mission accomplished for Nerazzurri at home

Cremonese on away loss to Inter at Giuseppe Meazza on Tuesday. Both sides came from defeats in their previous league games. Inter were hoping to get something from this game, following a previous defeat to Lazio. USC were beaten 2-1 in the previous match against Torino. After today’s result, Inter and USC are 2nd, (9 points) and 19th, (0 points), in the league respectively, after 4 matches.

Nerazzurri started strong and were rewarded for their efforts, when Joaquin Correa gave Inter the lead at the 12 minute mark. Nerazzurri then scored once more and increased their lead thanks to a goal from Nicolo Barella at the 38 minute mark, concluding the first half 2-0.

Inter continued to pile on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, thanks to a goal from Lautaro Martinez, 76 minutes in. USC in turn, then responded just before the final whistle increasing their lead with an effort from David Okereke and saw the match end 3-1.

Substitutions for Inter included Lautaro Martinez, Danilo D`Ambrosio, Kristjan Asllani, Raoul Bellanova and Robin Gosens for Joaquin Correa, Federico Dimarco, Marcelo Brozovic, Denzel Dumfries and Matteo Darmian, repectively. USC brought on Luca Zanimacchia, Samuel Di Carmine, Emanuele Valeri, Johan Vasquez and Michele Castagnetti, to replace Santiago Ascacibar, Cyriel Dessers, Giacomo Quagliata, Luka Lochoshvili and Emanuel Aiwu.

The referee booked three players from USC, Cyriel Dessers, Emanuel Aiwu and Johan Vasquez.

Inter will next play AC Milan away, with USC facing Sassuolo at home.
