Verona 1-2 Udinese: Bianconeri secure a good away win
Udinese banked all three points against the Hellas Verona in a 2-1 victory on Monday, at the Stadio Marcantonio Bentegodi. Verona were looking to get back to winning ways after losing their last match 2-0 to Fiorentina whilst Udinese were hoping to continue their winning streak after back-to-back victories against Internazionale and Sassuolo. Verona and Udinese sit 18th, (5 points) and 5th, (16 points), in the table respectively, after 8 matches.
Verona dominated the first half, when Josh Doig gave them the lead in the 23rd minute, and they saw out the first half 1-0.
Bianconeri continued to apply pressure in the second period and were rewarded, when Beto found the net on the 70 minute mark. Udinese then scored once more and turned the match thanks to a goal from Jaka Bijol just before the full time to make it 2-1.
Substitutions for Verona included Yayah Kallon, Ajdin Hrustic, Fabio Depaoli, Kevin Lasagna and Milan Djuric for Roberto Piccoli, Darko Lazovic, Simone Verdi, Thomas Henry and Josh Doig, respectively.
