Verona 1 – Sampdoria 1: The Yellow and Blues locked into a draw at home to The Blue-circled

On Saturday, Verona and Sampdoria were held to a 1-1 draw at the Stadio Marcantonio Bentegodi. Verona were looking to continue their run after winning last match. Sampdoria were beaten 2-1 in the previous match against Salernitana. As it stands, Verona are in 9th place, with 49 points from 34 matches, while Sampdoria sit in 16th, with 30 points from 34.

Sampdoria started strong and were rewarded for their efforts, with a goal from Francesco Caputo just before half-time, ending the first half 0-1.

The Yellow and Blues took the initiative in the second half, thanks to a goal from Gianluca Caprari, 78 minutes in. The game ended 1-1.

For Verona, Bosko Sutalo, Fabio Depaoli, Kevin Lasagna, Daniel Bessa and Miguel Veloso, came on for Koray Gunter, Davide Faraoni, Antonin Barak, Ivan Ilic and Gianluca Caprari. Sampdoria brought on Albin Ekdal, Stefano Sensi, Maya Yoshida, Nicola Murru and Fabio Quagliarella, to replace Tomas Rincon, Ronaldo Vieira, Alex Ferrari, Tommaso Augello and Francesco Caputo.

There were bookings for Koray Gunter from Verona, and Tomas Rincon, Ronaldo Vieira and Bartosz Bereszynski, for Sampdoria.

Verona will next travel to Cagliari, while Sampdoria will face Genoa at home.
