Verona 1 – Napoli 2: Gli Azzurri travel to the Stadio Marcantonio Bentegodi and get victory

Hellas Verona fell to a home defeat at the hands of Napoli at the Stadio Marcantonio Bentegodi on Sunday. Verona wanted to continue adding points after a 1-1 draw against Fiorentina. Napoli, on the other hand, lost 1-0 in the last match they played against AC Milan. After today’s result, Verona and Napoli are 9th, (41 points) and 2nd, (60 points), in the league respectively, after 29 matches.
Gli Azzurri dominated the first half, with Victor Osimhen finding the net, at 14 minutes, which saw the first half end 0-1.
Napoli continued to pile on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, thanks to Victor Osimhen finding the net again at the 71 minute mark. Verona in turn, then responded in the 77th minute increasing their lead with an effort from Davide Faraoni. The game ended with a 2-1 victory for the visitors.
For Verona, Daniel Bessa, Martin Hongla, Matteo Cancellieri and Nicolo Casale, came on for Fabio Depaoli, Ivan Ilic, Antonin Barak and Adrien Tameze. Napoli replaced Hirving Lozano, Matteo Politano, Fabian Ruiz, Victor Osimhen and Andrea Petagna for Lorenzo Insigne, Eljif Elmas, Piotr Zielinski, Andrea Petagna and Faouzi Ghoulam.
The referee booked Koray Gunter, Federico Ceccherini, Ivan Ilic and Davide Faraoni and Federico Ceccherini (2 yellow cards) and Davide Faraoni (2 yellow cards) saw the red card, for Verona.
